Pianist Emanuel Ax will join the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) for a weekend of concerts featuring Beethoven’s Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus and Piano Concerto No. 2, as well as Elgar’s Symphony No. 1. Music Director Leonard Slatkin will conduct.
The performances will take place Friday, December 8 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 10 at 3 p.m. in Orchestra Hall. Sunday’s performance will be webcast for free via the DSO’s Live from Orchestra Hall series. DSO fans can view the webcasts anywhere, on any device, at dso.org/live.
